VENUE: St John Hall - 134 Stafford Street, Hokitika
Connecting with people in ways that make a real difference.
Ambassador explores what makes the West Coast region and our visitors’ stay with us such a unique and genuine experience. During Ambassador we share information visitors will find both interesting and helpful, explore the history of the region, and highlight some simple customer service and communication tools with which to create meaningful connections with people from all over the world.
Ambassador is fun, fascinating and very affordable.
You’ll attend a one-off, 3-hour course. Ambassador is for everyone whether new to the area or you have lived here for a lifetime. Starting with our amazing geography, the first Maori settlers and guardians of the pounamu to the first European explorers and fortune seekers, through to present day and beyond, you will be immersed into the history and legends of the West Coast.
Ambassador is endorsed by the Buller, Greymouth and Westland District Councils, Development West Coast and Tourism West Coast.
People do business with people they like. Taking ownership and pride in our region makes it easy to connect with any visitor or customer whether they are known to you or not. It’s the things that cost nothing which create the best visitor experiences.
Connect with your place and your community. Understand and respect the past, show pride in your town and develop your local knowledge to share with others.
Take pride in what you do, build cultural knowledge, your own reputation and brand consistency. We journey through the continual growing markets of China and India, looking at how we can authentically connect with these visitors.
Ambassador inspires people and grows businesses by providing the tools to ensure a positive and memorable visitor experiences.
