Canterbury Hub, Apiculture NZ - Westland Field Day

Westland Field Day

ApiNZ is the peak body representing the New Zealand beekeeping industry. The Canterbury Hub includes the West Coast, Canterbury, southern Marlborough, northern Otago, and Chatham Island. It is the largest Hub, geographically and membership wise, in ApiNZ.“This year we have decided to bring the annual Hub field day to one of the our more distant areas. Many of our members have difficulty getting to Christchurch for Hub meetings. We have a full day of high calibre speakers; half a dozen of whom are flying in especially from the North Island”, said Maggie James, Secretary, Canterbury Hub. “The Westland commercial beekeeping sector and the West Coast Hobbyist Bee Club have really got stuck in, helping with arrangements.”
