Institute of Directors presentation - Do communities get best value from the current board appointment system?

Governance is usually regarded as being involved with commercial businesses with the all-important bottom line seen as a measure of success.

At this lunch event, IoD Chartered Fellow Rex Williams will lead an interactive discussion, seeking to get your views on the quality of governance across a whole range of community activities, and poses the question “does the Community get the best value from the current system for appointing board members (whether it be for kindy committees, tennis clubs or health boards)?”

IoD are also delighted to be making presentations to the winners of their West Coast First Steps in Governance Award and Emerging Director Award, and acknowledge the support of Development West Coast and Westroads Ltd who have provided governance internships as part of these awards.
