Greymouth Aquatic Centre: $6,000,000
This project assisted with the construction of a new aquatic centre in Greymouth. The facility includes an eight lane 25 metre lap pool, seating for 200 people, spa pool, toddlers/learners pool and two hydroslides. The Greymouth Aquatic Centre was officially opened in June 2009.
Greymouth Regent Theatre: $400,000
This project is to assist with the earthquake strengthening and upgrade of the Greymouth Regent Theatre. The majority of this work is around improving the structural standard of the Theatre to meet recent building code requirements. Work on this project has yet to commence.
Cobden Sports Complex: $50,000
This project assisted with the staged development of facilities at Jellyman Park, Cobden. The park and associated facilities are well utilized by both the rugby league and softball codes. The initial stage of this project has been completed.
Grey United Tennis Club: $20,000
This project is to assist with the upgrade of the Club’s changing and toilet facilities at the courts on Shakespeare Street. This project has yet to commence.
Westurf Recreation Trust: $100,000
This project is to assist with the replacement of the artificial surface at the Speight’s Westurf Stadium. This organisation hopes to add change & shower facilities and a spectator viewing room to the stadium in the future. The Westurf Trust has significant fundraising to achieve the target of around $500,000 required to replace the surface. The project has yet to commence.
