Major District Initiative

Development West Coast provides support via the three territorial local authorities to assist with the provision of major community facilities. Each Council is to undertake a comprehensive planning and consultant process to identify suitable projects and Development West Coast will fund up to 65% of the capital costs of these MDI identified projects subject to compliance with an agreed policy and conditions.

Community Funding

Development West Coast holds two separate funding rounds one to address applications requesting $100,000 and above and the second round for applications requesting under $100,000. In addition small sponsorship requests are addressed on an as received basis from the CEOs discretionary fund. Applications requesting $100,000 and more close on the first of March and are considered by Trustees at their June meeting.
